Aoife O’Brien, International Keynote Speaker

Aoife was the speaker for the Women’s Network DE&I month event at MSD in September. She gave a valuable, engaging session in person and online to approx. 50 people, on the subject of “Happier Careers, Happier Lives”. Her content was so relevant and thought provoking, and it resonated with everyone who attended. The content was new for many, but Aoife delivered it in an inclusive manner, with polished delivery and lots of humour. In the days and weeks following the event, many people spoke to me about the changes they had made and the different way they were thinking since Aoife’s talk. Aoife shared wonderful resources and made the entire experience easy for the Women’s Network from the moment we engaged with her. It was really easy to work with her on a practical level – she has a user-friendly booking system, and she was very accommodating with our scheduling requests. Overall, a very positive experience and we would work with Aoife again in a heartbeat!

Her content was well curated and well thought, the delivery was powerful and her impact was very evident through the live discussion and on the spot quick thinking that Aoife showcased when answering audience questions. As Chair of the Womens’ Network at the Central Bank of Ireland, we are always looking for ways to empower and support our colleagues. This year to mark IWD 2023 we were delighted to welcome Aoife to discuss and unpack the concept of imposter syndrome. It was a pleasure to work with Aoife leading up to IWD. She is creative, positive and solution focused. The session she delivered to colleagues was impactful and thought provoking and challenged us to better understand ourselves and our motivations. Aoife delivered an excellent presentation and workshop on Imposter Syndrome to members of the AbbVie team across Ireland, Europe and the Middle-East. Aoife adapted the format of the workshop to deliver virtually to a large group. The feedback was excellent from all our attendees. Aoife held a workshop about Imposter Syndrome for our Women’s Inclusion Group in EMEA. The workshop was interactive and contained a real plan of action on how to deal with and overcome it. The session was very well received and we got a lot of positive feedback from our colleagues. I highly recommend working with Aoife and I look forward to scheduling another session with her next quarter.

I invited Aoife to speak at our inaugural event for Early Career HR Professionals, to speak in relation to Imposter Syndrome. It was the perfect kickoff to the series.
